Tito’s timbale model has a bit extra length for some added weight and is made from hickory for supreme durability. The Vater brand was officially established in November of 1991, but the Vater family history with drumsticks started decades earlier, making a few bespoke items in the basement of Boston's legendary Jack's Drum Shop.
