Universal Audio Volt 4 Max 12-in/6-out USB Audio Interface

The Volt 4 Max brings together Universal Audio's renowned recording heritage with expanded connectivity, intelligent workflow tools, and premium sound quality. Designed for producers, musicians, podcasters, and content creators, this 12-in/6-out desktop audio interface delivers professional recording capabilities in a compact format, making it easy to achieve polished, studio-quality results from any workspace

At the heart of Volt 4 Max are two Tone Shaping Preamps featuring three analogue-inspired character modes: Warmth, Focus, and Shine. These modes add rich harmonic colour inspired by classic tube, solid-state, and British Class-A preamps, helping vocals, guitars, basses, and instruments sit perfectly in a mix from the moment they're recorded.

Volt 4 Max takes things even further with onboard Max Processing, providing six musical compression presets based on legendary UA compressor designs such as the 1176 and LA-2A. Whether you're tracking vocals, bass, acoustic guitar, or spoken word, the built-in dynamics processing adds punch, control, and consistency without requiring additional plugins or outboard gear.

For growing studios, Volt 4 Max offers exceptional connectivity. Alongside dual mic/line and Hi-Z instrument inputs, it includes ADAT expansion for up to eight additional digital channels, MIDI I/O for external instruments and controllers, a built-in USB hub for peripherals, and dedicated monitor switching between two speaker systems. This flexibility allows the interface to evolve alongside your recording setup.

A full-colour Smart Display, Auto-Gain, Clip Protection, built-in talkback microphone, loopback recording, and two headphone outputs make Volt 4 Max equally suited to recording, mixing, livestreaming, podcasting, and content creation. Every unit also includes the UAD Volt Studio Bundle, featuring the award-winning LUNA DAW, premium UAD plug-ins, virtual instruments, and additional production software to complete your creative toolkit.
