PRS Tekton "Floyd" in Pearl Black

PRS Tekton Floyd Electric Guitar

The PRS Tekton “Floyd” is built for players who push their playing to the limit. Combining the modern performance foundation of the Tekton platform with the confidence and stability of a Floyd Rose tremolo system, this model is designed to handle demanding techniques and aggressive playing styles with uncompromising performance.

Built around a 25.5" scale length, stainless steel frets, and a 16" fretboard radius, the Tekton “Floyd” delivers a fast, precise playing experience without sacrificing comfort. Its lightweight alder body, sculpted contours, and thinner neck profile create an instrument that feels effortless in the hands while remaining substantial enough to inspire confidence on stage and in the studio.

Equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo, this model is designed for players who demand expressive performance and dependable tuning stability. Dive bombs, flutter effects, wide vibrato, and aggressive playing techniques are all part of its capabilities, making the Tekton “Floyd” a compelling choice for technically demanding performances.

PRS Stylus pickups are designed to retain clarity under high gain while maintaining a responsive, dynamic character. Although not fully flat-response humbuckers, their balanced output makes them well suited to both traditional amplifiers and modern digital rigs. Designed to work effectively in both full humbucking and coil-split configurations, they deliver usable, musical tones with excellent note definition for intricate rhythm work, soaring lead lines, and highly technical passages.

Named after the ancient Greek word for artisan or builder, Tekton reflects a philosophy of thoughtful craftsmanship and modern performance. The Tekton “Floyd” is built for players who continually refine their technique, expand their sound, and look ahead to what’s next.
