This Acrylic 6.5x14" snare celebrates the 25th Anniversary of PDP with a special fusion of seamless acrylic shells, walnut-stained hoops, and a commemorative badge. Acrylic shells have been a mainstay in popular music due to their appealing looks and their bright attack, focused tone, and controlled sustain. This seamless shell is fitted with walnut-stained wood hoops, which adds a throaty tonal element and slightly increases warmth. These drums are also fitted with DW's MAG throw-off, while True-Pitch tension rods offer more accurate and secure tuning. These drums are fitted with Remo heads. Available only in 2024. *

100% Maple Hoops
Add a traditional twist to your space-age seamless Acrylic shells with 100% European Maple hoops. Wood counter hoops were originally used on snare drums in the mid-1800s when the drums were largely a tool for military use. These taller 10-ply Maple hoops bring a slightly warmer tonal character and throaty rim shots to balance out Acrylic’s signature heavy sound. Stained in dark Walnut, the hoops also provide a striking contrast to the translucent Acrylic shell for a two-tone look that makes a tonal impact.
