Evaluating every component, while aiming to stay true to the pedal’s transparent and mid-range-focused tone. After numerous prototypes, Ibanez concluded the JRC NJM4558 op-amp was essential to achieve the Tube Screamer’s legendary sound. At the same time, this new design is capable of a wider range of sounds thanks to the addition of high-end components such as MOGAMI OFC cables.
