Boasting an ultra-thin Fender Custom Shop “New Old Stock” nitrocellulose finish, the Limited-edition ’59 Stratocaster NOS might as well have come straight out of the Fullerton factory circa 1959. In fact, this guitar’s seriously upgraded tonewoods — consisting of a chunky Large “C” 1-piece AAA bird’s-eye maple neck and a resonant 2-piece select alder body — are arguably an aesthetic and tonal upgrade from an authentic vintage example.
