Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic - An iconic electric guitar that pays homage to a legendary era. The ’57 Strat is celebrated for its distinctive features, and this model captures the essence of its famed predecessor with modern precision.
The guitar boasts a two-piece select ash body, a one-piece rift sawn maple neck with a ’57-style Soft “V” back-shape, and a single-ply parchment pickguard. These elements come together to perfectly recreate the late-‘50s Stratocaster experience.
Equipped with a trio of Custom Shop hand-wound Tomatillo Stratocaster pickups, including a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity (RWRP) middle pickup, and featuring Vintage Modified #2 wiring along with a Greasebucket tone circuit, this guitar delivers the classic Strat spank and quack, enhanced with a richer, warmer tone.
The Heavy Relic lacquer finish gives the 1957 Stratocaster the look and feel of a guitar that’s seen decades of hard playing and touring—truly a battle-hardened workhorse.
Additional high-end features include a 9.5" radius fingerboard, 21 narrow tall (6105) frets, a 5-way pickup selector, a Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut, wing string tree, and it comes with a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
