While the Fender Custom Shop is renowned for its vintage-accurate recreations of 'Golden Era' electric guitars, they occasionally take creative liberties to design unique instruments like this 1950s Thinline Telecaster DLX Closet Classic.
Although the Thinline Tele didn't make its debut until the late 1960s, this guitar is a brilliant fusion of the finest elements from the '50s and '60s, with a few modern upgrades. The super-light Thinline ash body, paired with a full rosewood neck and fingerboard, makes this Tele a joy to play. It delivers a wide range of tones, thanks to its hand-wound pickups, modern wiring, and the Greasebucket Tone Circuit, which reduces high frequencies without adding bass when the tone is rolled down.
